University of Nevada-Reno

Public Health

The University of Nevada-Reno is a branch of the University of Nevada that goes by the name UNR. Unlike other schools that admit students every semester, UNR requires that all public health students start in the fall semester. The university uses a cohort system that allows a group of students to start together and take the same classes to work together until they complete the program. Incoming students will need to submit letters of recommendation, a personal essay statement, an official test score and a resume. UNR requires a completed online application too, which it uses to find out more about applicants.

Master of Public Health

One of the only Master’s in Public Health degree programs in Nevada that gives you more options is the UNR program, which offers concentrations in epidemiology, social and behavioral health, biostatistics and health administration and policy.
