Case Western Reserve University
School of Medicine
Case Western Reserve University was established in 1826 and has been the educational home to more than 15 Nobel laureates. The school has been ranked highly in “best of” from “U.S. News & World Report” and “The Wall Street Journal.” The campus is a few miles outside Downtown Cleveland in the University Circle neighborhood. There are more than 11,000 students attending classes at the school, and there are more graduate students than undergraduate students at the school. Master of Public Health
The MPH degree at Case Western Reserve offers students the knowledge and experience they need to work at local health departments, research centers, professional organizations, safety-net providers, and community-based organizations. Program goals include the ability to implement a community-based intervention to address childhood obesity and the ability to help create policy at various governmental levels to ensure equal access to medical and dental care. DMD and Master of Public Health
In addition to the single MPH degree, students may also choose to enter the dual degree program of Doctor of Dental Medicine and Master of Public Health. Students will spend one year of the program’s five years in classes solely dedicated to the MPH degree and will usually spend the year between the second and third years of the DMD program on the MPH curriculum. Some of the career opportunities open to graduates of the program include clinical practice in a variety of environments like federally qualified community health centers, local health departments, federal departments like the CDC, and research departments at universities.

Cedarville University
School of Nursing
Cedarville University is a Christian college which was associated with the Reformed Presbyterian Church when it opened in 1887 in the town of Cedarville. Today, the school is affiliated with the Baptist Church, and religious instruction is part of all degrees earned at the school. There are around 4,000 students attending classes at Cedarville University with approximately 400 of those students attending classes at the graduate level. Cleveland State University
School of Health Sciences
Established in 1929 as Fenn College, Cleveland State University is a public university located in the middle of downtown Cleveland. It would become Cleveland State in 1964. Approximately 12,400 students attend classes at the urban campus that covers more than 85 acres and represents the largest footprint for a single group in town. The official colors of the school are forest green and white, and the sports teams play under the nickname of the Vikings. Before it was Fenn College in 1929, the educational facility offered free classes through the Cleveland YMCA. Today, Cleveland State University is an NCAA Division I school that plays in the Horizon League.

Located in Kent, Ohio, KSU is a public university and part of the Ohio system of universities. The large school has approximately 29,000 students at its Kent location and a further 10,000 students at its other locations. The school was originally conceived as a teacher training facility when it opened its doors in 1912 after having been established in 1910. Established in 1973, Northeast Ohio Medica Center is a public college located in Rootstown.
